Anne came to me and wanted a very clean cake. She had seen a three tier metal stand in a magazine and wanted a simple cake to go with it, accentuation with some flowers and ribbon to tie in with her wedding theme. The three layers were, Chocolate Biscuit, Fruit Cake and Madeira Cake. A simple plain icing was chosen and red ribbon trimming was added. Finally a custom topper and flowers were added to complete the cake.
Ooh! Good one. I am learning bakery and soon I am also going to design such beautiful cakes. There is also a food fest next month in one of the San Francisco venues where all the designer cakes are going to be displayed. I guess, tasting is allowed and I would love to do that.
